This is a message from the Suffolk County Department of Fire Rescue and Emergency services on behalf of the Suffolk County Police Department. The following roads will be closed this Saturday, June 25 from 6AM until Noon. Rosevale Avenue from Pond Road to Southern Boulevard. Ocean Avenue from Expressway Drive North to Rosevale Avenue. Smithtown Boulevard/Portion Road from Rosevale Avenue to Ronkonkoma Avenue. Lakeshore Road/Pond Road from Portion Road to Church Street.

On August 4 at approximately 0350 hrs. Holbrook was activated for a structure fire in The Colony located on Furrows Road. Upon arrival the fire was already in an advanced stage and had extended to a neighboring garage. A working fire was transmitted which activated the automatic mutual aid response. Ex Chief Cliff Pendl, June 11

On 06-02-2023 at 2210 hrs. Holbrook was activated for a residential structure fire. The 911 call had been placed by a neighbor who had observed the fire from their own yard. Upon Chiefs arrival a working fire was transmitted and mutual aid plan was activated. Attack lines were deployed but due to the occupants not being home, the advancement of the fire had made the probability of a roof collapse ... (Full Story & Photos)

MVA overturn

At 1710 Holbrook was activated for an auto accident overturn on Patchogue-Holbrook Road and Furrows Road. Assistant Chief Reimo arrived at scene and confirmed overturn. One person was transported with non-life threatening injuries.... (Full Story & Photos)
