On Sunday, February 24 at 0210 Holbrook FD was activated for a 16/23 overturn with heavy rescue on Patchogue Holbrook Road. The driver of the vehicle lost control, while traveling northbound. The vehicle crossed over into oncomming traffic and upon contacting a snowbank from a previous storm, became airborn. The vehicle ended up in a verticle position pinned into a tree. Upon his arrival at the scene, Chief Pendl notified responding units that occupants had already self extricated themselves. Driver and passenger had minor injuries, and were transported to BMH for observation.
